This website aims to provide you with all the information you may need about the pub. Located in the quiet village of Forward Green we are within easy access of Ipswich & Bury St Edmunds via the A14 and all neighbouring towns and villages.

We aim to offer a great quality dining experience in relaxed and informal surroundings. At the heart of what we want to achieve is value for money and quality. Food is of the essence and we try to source as much food locally as possible.

Wagyu Beef Burgers Cooking up a Storm

Having our name mentioned alongside Raymond Blanc's Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons in the Daily Mail is something we would have never imagined in our wildest dreams, but thanks to Andrew Deacon of Earl Stonham Farms this has happened.

We have the extraordinary good luck of being in the same village as Earl Stonham Farms, sole producers of Wagyu Cattle in the UK and arguably the tastiest Beef in Britain and when Andrew asked if we would like to have our kitchen muster up some Wagyu Burgers we jumped at the chance.

Having known the Deacon family for some years as very valued customers we are extremely proud of the success and media attention they are receiving for their Wagyu Beef. This has also benefited us with a mention in the Daily Mail and having a visit from Anglia News Television with reporter and camera crew in tow.

The Wagyu burgers are proving to be very popular with people travelling a long way to try one. To avoid any disappointment by missing out on one please contact us before your visit to pre order.
